Our story began in Prague at the end of the 19th century. Over more than 125 years of turbulent changes, a producer of medicinal wines has evolved into an innovative Czech company creating advanced herbal products. Discover the story of HERBADENT.

1897
Wine Beginnings

In 1897, Dr. Javůrek and Svatek founded the first fermentation cellars and storage for malt wine in Prague. Medicinal wines achieved commercial success and won several medals at international competitions. This company was later nationalized and integrated into the state-owned enterprise United Pharmaceutical Plants.
1960s
The Birth of a Unique Herbal Formula

During the 1960s, Dr. Karmazín developed a unique herbal solution that became the foundation for today's legendary gum healing solution. Thanks to an extract from seven medicinal herbs, it quickly and effectively helps treat most oral mucosa issues, such as injuries, inflammations, and canker sores. His discovery represents a key milestone in the development of treatments and care for a healthy mouth.
Second Half of the 20th Century
HERBADENT as an Established Brand

Thanks to its effective natural composition, the Herbadent healing solution quickly became a popular and sought-after brand for relief from painful oral problems. We still produce Herbadent solution in our factory today, and doctors continue to recommend it to new generations of patients as the best treatment for oral mucosa issues.
1996 – 2010
New Era – New Direction

Despite the success of the original solution, the state-owned company ran into trouble due to poor management and a lack of product innovation. In 1996, the company was privatized, and several attempts were made to save it. Eventually, a group of investors, along with dentist MUDr. Pavel Smažík, who knew Herbadent very well, took over the traditional brand. As a doctor, he understood that prevention is more important than just treating the consequences. Based on this belief, he gave Herbadent a new direction.
21st Century
HERBADENT Today

From the original extract, an entire range of oral care products was developed. Today, under the Herbadent brand, we offer toothpastes, mouthwashes, and other products. And since we know that proper cleaning depends on the right toothbrushes, we have collaborated with leading Czech dentists to develop a range of accessible toothbrushes and interdental brushes. Our mission for the years ahead remains unchanged. We aim to help our customers care for their healthy mouths and strong teeth with herbal products.

HERBADENT Sensi is excellent

Hello,

I must highly praise the Herbadent Sensi paste. I didn’t expect much from it, but it is excellent in consistency, taste, and especially effectiveness. It is now my favorite paste :-). The Parodontol gel is also absolutely great. I use it just for preventive care, but it works very well for cleaning with a single toothbrush.

I enjoy using Herbadent and look forward to more new products :-).

Double-ended Interdental Brushes

Your advertisement popped up on my Facebook or Instagram – I can’t quite remember. What caught my attention was that the interdental brushes are double-ended and available in only three sizes. I decided to purchase them along with the interdental gel.

I am very satisfied with both the interdental brush and the gel. Even my children use them. We will definitely buy them again.

Interdental Brushes in 3 Sizes

Hello,

I work in healthcare and have a strong connection to products of this type. Additionally, after having COVID, I’ve had some gum issues, so I’ve been trying different products that could help me while also being pleasant to use.

So far, I have tested the Spray for Dogs, and I must say – it is absolutely amazing! I didn’t even know you offered products for animals, so that was a pleasant and wonderful surprise.

I also find the interdental brushes in 3 sizes very interesting. Other companies I used to buy interdental brushes from offer about a million sizes. Who can keep track of all that, let alone buy them all? ? Until now, I used to purchase around six different sizes, which was both overwhelming and expensive. I think this is unnecessary and possibly overpriced. Simplicity is key!

So far, I am very satisfied.

I Have Personally Known Herbadent for a Long Time

Hello,

I have personally known Herbadent for a long time and have tried it before. My latest order came about thanks to my dental hygienist, who recommended a toothbrush in the office that fits me perfectly, as well as a children’s toothpaste. She also gave my daughter a sample of an herbal ointment, which miraculously healed her irritated nose from blowing it – overnight! We truly can’t praise this ointment enough.

For this reason, I decided to place a larger order on the e-shop for the whole family, and we are very satisfied.

The patient describes that almost always before menstruation, painful blisters appear, followed by the development of extensive HS lesions in the area of the vermilion border and chin.

The use of over-the-counter medications and treatments is effective but expensive, with a long onset time. The patient visits the office for DH treatment and reports a burning sensation in the vermilion border area. Upon examination, it is evident that a blister outbreak related to HS is imminent. The affected area was treated in the office with Herbadent gel with CHX 0.15%. DH was performed using only manual instruments. The patient was instructed to apply the gel in the evening before bed on the affected area, then again in the morning and only as needed in case of complications.

The next day at 10:00 AM, the patient’s mother calls to report that the lesions and burning sensations in the affected area have completely disappeared. The patient now experiences a minimal outbreak of blisters, and each time Herbadent gel with CHX 0.15% is applied, the blisters disappear within two days.

A patient suffering from minor aphthosis on the buccal mucosa and the lingual mucosa in the first third of the tongue.

Currently, however, aphthae are present on the marginal gingiva, associated with ulcerative gingivitis. Treated with PZL 30% H₂O₂, followed by local application of Herbadent CHX 0.15% gel. About 10 minutes after application, the patient reported relief from pain. The dosage was scheduled for two additional applications—one in the afternoon and another before bedtime. The patient was scheduled for a follow-up in two days.

Result: The mucosa was completely healthy. The patient also reported that pain disappeared after the second topical application of the gel. Now, she immediately treats aphthae with the gel and describes maximum satisfaction. The aphthae disappear within 1-2 days, compared to the previous 7 days.
